Not going to claim that everyone will be attacked so badly by the mosquitos in Morocco, but on a recent trip I found myself with bug bites all over my body. My friend seemed to be fine, but in 1 week I accumulated more than 70 bug bites in clumps all over my arms, hands, feet, legs, and even face, anything exposed. Just a warning to those susceptible to bug bites, might want to consider bringing some mosquito repellant on your next trip to Morocco.
According to mdtravelhealth.com, “There is no malaria risk in Tangier, Rabat, Casablanca, and Fes”, may want to look into it if you plan to head elsewhere in Morocco.
Those look like bed bug bites homie.
Just looked up photos on google, you may be right. I’ve heard bed bugs are difficult to get rid of though, and they didn’t travel with me, nor did my friend in the same room get them.
Im in morocco right now and have the same problem. I have no idea what they are. Could be fleas, mosquitos or bed bugs…the bites all look similar. Im thinking mosquitos or fleas for me since i didnt get any till i slept with all the windows open in a tank and shorts. now im covered….hmm
Mine was the same. I think they were bed bugs, but they didn’t travel with me at all which was weird. Maybe because the floors in my rooms were all made of stone or tile? I heard they don’t like to go on cold surfaces.
