A lake in Patagonia as seen in the video
My friend Travelstache just posted this video on facebook. He posts a lot of cool stuff, but I really liked this one. It's called "A Story For Tomorrow", and it's a video that a couple made about their 5 week trip to Patagonia and Chile.

The tsunami wave about to crash into the shore on Boxing Day 2004 in Phuket, Thailand
I just came across what I thought was a 10 minute compilation video of the Boxing Day Tsunami in 2004. I clicked on it, got hooked, then found out it was only part 1 of 7. By that time I couldn't put it down, and ended up spending the next hour plus watching a handful of people's first hand Tsunami stories.

A screen cap from the 1965 movie Von Ryan's express showing El Caminito Del Rey
One of the most popular posts on this site has been about a dangerous hike in Southern Spain known as El Caminito Del Rey. Although El Caminito Del Rey has become a bit of an internet sensation in recent times, it's not well known that it was featured in the movie "Von Ryan's Express" back in 1965. Here is a clip from the movie showing the upper path in pretty good shape before it was torn down.

My friends and I fishing in Tayrona National Park
While in Colombia I made friends with a guy from Buenos Aires. He ended up traveling with us for 9 or 10 days so we visited a lot of the same places. He carried one of the little Go Pro cameras with him and made this video when he got home. The video is pretty cool, and I really like the song he chose, "Good As Gold" by Tiga. You can follow my friend Manuel on twitter at http://twitter.com/manuchis.

Venice, Italy is one of the most fascinating, beautiful, and complicated cities in the world. The city is in a permanent battle with mother nature, trying to prevent their land from being stolen back by that which makes it so remarkable, the water that surrounds it. This video is a bit dorky, but it gives a really good overview of how the city came to be and remains to be what it is today. It's well worth a watch.

From the world famous half dome, to its amazing waterfalls, to the star filled skies, Yosemite is a must visit for any visitor to California. This is one of the best Yosemite videos I've ever seen, done in timelapse it gives you a pretty good overview of the park.

The sky over El Teide, Spain by night
Found this cool timelapse video on Vimeo the other day. I had never heard of El Teide, but apparently its the tallest mountain in Spain, located on the largest of the Canary Islands, Tenerife. The video is mostly of the sky but also has some nature shots and is worth watching. This is not the Spain you're used to seeing.

A really cool timelapse video set in 17 countries around the world in a year. I wish I had thought to do something like this on one of my bigger trips, it takes a lot of planning and foresight up front. Kiem did an excellent job with this video, it's well worth a watch. Only downside is he makes you want to see a bit more of some of these places.

It took me a second to figure out what was happening here, from the title I thought they were actually doing some kind of crazy underwater fishing. Instead this is just a really strange (in a good way) video of some Finnish guys horsing around in the frozen Lake Saarijärvi of Vaala, Finland. Regardless, it's really cool looking, and worth a view. Thanks to Janne the King of Finland for sending this over.

Annapurna Circuit in the Nepali Himalayas
I just stumbled upon this amazing timelapse video of the Himalayas in Nepal. Some cool shots demonstrating how quickly the weather can change, and an overall high quality video worth checking out. Filmed on the Annapurna Circuit and Tilicho Lake in Nepal.
