I just came across what I thought was a 10 minute compilation video of the Boxing Day Tsunami in 2004. I clicked on it, got hooked, then found out it was only part 1 of 7. By that time I couldn’t put it down, and ended up spending the next hour plus watching a handful of people’s first hand Tsunami stories.
I just wanted to share this on here because I thought it was really well done. Its a film called “Tsunami – Caught On Camera”. I know the name sounds cheesy but it’s actually very cool. It’s mainly comprised of tourists actual Tsunami footage from Indonesia, Thailand, and Sri Lanka all edited together along with the survivors narrative to tell the actual stories of that devastating day in 2004. I had already seen most of the footage, but it’s crazy to hear from the people who lived through it. It’s also heart breaking at times because some had loved ones they lost in the Tsunami.
