The Column of Julian sits alone in the middle of the street
If you're wondering exactly which landmark the Column of Julian is in Ankara, here it is. Not the most exciting nor historical visit in Ankara, but not out of the way either. Located In Ulus within walking distance of the Ankara Citadel, The Roman Baths, The Roman Theatre, The Temple of Augustus and Rome, The Hacı Bayram Mosque, Gençlik Park, and more, you may as well pass by. If you head from the square by the The Temple of Augustus and Rome back towards the Ulus bus stop, down the steps to your right you'll see a large gathering of buses. Look a bit further to the right and you'll see The Column of Julian sitting in the middle of a V-Intersection.

View down Ilgaz Mountain from the top of the ski lift
Ilgaz Mountain in Turkey was much different than any US resort I've been too. To start, you can buy lift tickets per ride, or per day, which was pretty cool. Prices were cheap, but lines were long. Because of the single ride tickets, many patrons chose to ride the lift not to ski, but just to experience the views, which lead to lift waits exceeding an hour. Ilgaz is the smallest resort in Turkey, boasting just 2 lifts, neither of which are for beginners. Because of this it was very crowded, but still a nice place to visit.

View of Atakule Tower, Ankara Turkey from the Botanic Park below
Atakule tower sits at the top of the hill in Çankaya, Ankara. The communications and observation tower stands 410 ft. high (125 meters) and houses a rotating restaurant and an open observation deck. Great panoramic views of Ankara are to be had from the top of the tower, including the Botanic Park to the North. The cost is minimal, and entrance to the deck is free with a reservation for the restaurant. Ankara is not a city with many tourist destinations, so this is a must see.
