The Kravice Waterfalls on the Trebizat River in Bosnia are some of the coolest I’ve been to. Tucked away in the trees just across the border from Crotia, the waterfall spans 120m (~390 feet) and falls 25m (~80 feet). The Kravice Falls area also has a little cafe, a rope swing, a picnic area, and a place to camp if you like. I had never heard of these waterfalls before arriving in Dubrovnik, I suppose Bosnia is not the most traveled of places, but these falls were well worth the visit.
We visited the falls on a day trip from Dubrovnik. The Kravice tour consisted of the Kravice Falls, lunch at a pretty cool restaurant, a trip to Mostar (and the Mostar Bridge), a Bosnian farm where we had dinner and rode horses (although the horse riding was not as cool as it sounded, there was one horse we each took turns doing 1 lap on), and return transport in a private van to and from Dubrovnik. Its been a couple years now, but I’m pretty sure we booked the tour from Dubrovnik Backpackers Club, and the price was reasonable. I highly recommend both the tour and the hostel when staying in Dubrovnik.
Apparently the spring is the best time to visit, we went in the middle of September, and the water was freezing, but I can’t see how it would be any warmer in the Spring. I think the cold water is just something you have to deal with at the Kravice Falls. I’d guess it was something around 50° Fahrenheit (10° Celsius), so it was pretty chilly to stay in for any extended period of time. Don’t let this scare you off though, you need to swim out to and into the falls if you visit, just bring a towel and some warm clothes for afterwards.
There is also a rope swing just off the adjacent river, ask around if you can’t find it, that was pretty fun too.
Hi, this is very interesting! Mind let me know what’s the price of the day tour that you went to Mostar and the waterfalls from Dubrovnik?

Hi Sofia,
I don’t remember exactly, I think it may have been around $70 USD?
Thanks,
Mike
